My kitchen

So I painted my kitchen cupboards and I did have some BEFORE pix but then my phone fell in the toilet and I lost the pictures:(  So above is one photo I could find of what my cupboards looked liked.

Below are the finished cupboards.  The process was not too bad.  I ended up adding two coats of varnish to make them really shiny.  Now I would like to get a new counter top and tile the floor=both a shade of gray.

All in time...

1st Anniversary Of My Favourite Snack!

This has been my favourite snack for over a year now: peanut butter on a Gala apple. Sometimes it is a snack and sometimes it is breakfast.

Yummy!

New glasses?

Does a Mason jar work as a drinking glass?  I am debating using them for this purpose.  I have four like this and one a bit smaller that I am testing out. What do you think?

Derby Day Ottawa 2013

So I ended up going to Derby Day.  This is the sign at my secret parking spot downtown.  You will have to come with me to find out where it is and I have yet to get a ticket for parking there:)

So if you are a roller derby girl you have to have a cool nickname.  Some of the names at this game were Dr. Kegels, Afro Mighty, Power...what would my name be?

See the ref with the beard...kinda cool!

Many food trucks were there The Lunch Truck, Red Rooster, Churros, Angry Dragonz.  I had chicken pad Thai from the Dragonz.  I drove home and then ate it and it was still good.

So I am looking for someone to join me to sign up for Derby 101.  It takes place in Vanier and I am afraid to go alone. Come on Vanier, you do not have the best rep!?

The quote I chose....

So I didn't actually use any of the quotes I previously posted....

This quote has reappeared in my life recently after studying and analyzing it with Mrs Carter in high school.

I traced it out in chalk first and then took a marker and wrote it again.

I think it is a great reminder for myself and a future lesson for my children.
